Hi! My wife has osteoporosis and some other disease. Doctor prescribed her Evistia. Why he prescribed Evistia? How should she take Evistia? Sometimes she forgets to take drug. What happens if she misses a dose?
Doctor prescribed her Evista, because Evista reduces loss of bone tissue.
Take Evista exactly as directed by your doctor. If you do not understand these directions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you. Evista can be taken with or without food. Take Evista at the same time each day. She should take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take only the next regularly scheduled dose. She shouldn’t take a double dose of this medication. Help her to take her medication regular.
