I'm not quite sure what evidence BorisP is basing his conjecture on that excessive masturbation is the cause of homosexual behavior. It would be interesting to see if he is actually formulating this statement from hard scientific proof or just spouting this off the top of his head to propagate his own views. I have a feeling that homosexuality is a bit more complex than just the outcome of masturbating...like maybe something to do with genetics by chance? I don't know, that just seems a little more believable to me as a determining factor than how often one gets off on his own. Perhaps the view Boris is espousing is the way things are in the world according to Boris. Please, BorisP, if you have some supporting information to back your statement up, do share it with the rest of us.  |

well im 14, and ive been going a bit excessive at least once a day, its almost become part of my schedule, i think u should just try and do it evry OTHER dya, thats wat im starting as of tomorrow |

Guys,
To answer the question, will I ever stop masterbating?
The answer is NO.
Here are the facts:
You are human.
Humans ARE sexual.
We can choose to act on our sexual impulses or not.
We KNOW we can choose not to engage in sexual behavior, or not.
You don't just jump any good looking person you see in school or at work...why not? Cause you are in control of your impulses. You don't run out of class to start a ball game during a Math Test. Why not? Cause you've trained yourself how to behave in a civilized manner.
What does this have to do with masterbation?
Everything.
You can CHOOSE when to express your sexuality, and with whom, and where. You can choose when to masterbate, and when not to.
But the reality is that your body, having reached a readiness level to reproduce, will continue to produce sperm and eggs FOR YEARS. Your body will sluff these products off regularly no matter what you do.
For guys, if they do not produce a climax, it's roughly every 14 days or so. We call these wet dreams. Gals have a monthly cycle. Not exactly the same thing, but it's evidence that we ARE SEXUAL BEINGS.
So, rather than worry if you are masterbating too much, work on developing interests and partnerships with other people. It is OK to masterbate, in private or with a partner. You will continue to do so for YEARS and YEARS during your marriage or adulthood. Nobody stops cold turkey. And anyone who tells you that they do, is lying.
Now, they may not admit that they do it, just like they may not admit to having sex with their spouse, their boyfriend, their main squeeze, or whatever... but, they ARE a sexual being and they CHOOSE when and where to discuss it, and when and where to express it.
So, don't worry about too much masterbation. Just make sure that it doesn't become the main focal point of your life. You need other interests or else you become an introverted, lonely person.
Remember, nobody ever meet their mate by staying shut up in a bathroom or bedroom. They had to meet and charm people. Those are the skills you should be working on.

Hi, I'm female, age 30 and I have to "do the naughty" at least once a day or the hormones build up to the breaking point. Plus it helps me sleep. What's so wrong with that?!

this is posted elswhere and this should be expressed here as well, useful information
i have messed my body by ejaculation every day, i only used to do it once a day, since i was 13 - 20,
i have alway sseemed weak, not enough energy and not growing , always feeling hungry, and astmatic, sweaty very easily, and eyesight shifts daily and out of focus and back again,
some headaches (now and then migrane once or twice throughout the year, where i must sleep and cannot see light, other wise eyes and head hurts)
in my times from these years it usually took me about 20 minutes to fall a sleep, and sometimes an hour. i guess slight insomnia, but i thoguth it was normal, and i would have to eat a small snack to get some odd hunger feeling out and be able to sleep properly.
i decided at age arount age 20 to give myself a test and decided to stop bloody jacking off, for around 2 weeks, even though its pretty much like my hobby to masterbate, i probably given my self the odd 2-3 days off, but this was rare, when me and friends when to spain. that was probably the only 3 days i went without havin that orgasmic feeling,
yes i decided to stay off for a week longer ,, ,
it was after 2 week, i got a real wake up call, my face started to feel like it wasnt soooo friggin dried up, and i just became energetic, and my eyes stopped goin out of focus, even at uni, i could see the board without going out of focus,anymore, i started smiling, lol, but this kept goin on, i just felt good, and not tired or lazy as i would usually feel, i stopped using vaseline on my lips because it used to always be dry. not anymore, after all these years.
i decided to carry this on , for another week, and it just kep gettin better, healthwise i didnt know if im healing or just at high energy or whatever. but i had to find out, and asking a doctor is embarassing so i went online and it was mixed reactions all the time, just like here, so all i am doing is saying what my life was with the masterbation scenario,
currently i have been doing this for about 2 years now, and i sleep lke a baby, all i have to do is get into bed and im a sleep within 5 minutes, 10 mins tops, i havent had a severe migraine, over the last 2 years it only hit me twice that i only landed up with 2 cases, in losing a bit of vision in one eye and loss of feeling in one arm,btw this is temporariy in my migrane effects but used to be very worse) but it doesnt go far as devastating headaches as i usually got. years ago

okay so yes of course this may sound like a fantasy to some but im drawing out all the truth i can think of at time of writing, i obviously wanted to jack off all the time as usualy but life just felt better,
NOTE i ended up finding out what the heck a mans wet dream was, usualy every month or so i just came in my sleep, , i finally had a wet dream, and this was when i was around 21 im like wtf.. but realised the body needs to set off some steam (sexual tension) automatically, and this is the bodys own function, after i found this out my self,??? i should have realised, this years ago,
i also found out i can stop these messy bed stains, by jacking off now and again, through out the month lettin off my sexual tension manually (also i notice how slighly less energetic and tired i am after this, one day of masterbation, blurry vision the next day but fixes itself/ adjusts the day after that.) so i wont have to clean the sheets or my pants. if i did this masterbation.
so yes i also love the dreams asscociated with these nights, so i have to decide wether i want them or not, .
anyway i beleive for me anyway,, i should be only jacking off once a week max limit, , but you can adjust a little depending on your lifestyle, but please try stopping masterbation for 2 weeks, you will feel better, but i cant guarentee you will feel better than orgasm,
but i guess for all round health best stick to a small amount of masterbation, once a day is just bad for health i just cant beleive i found out after a decade, if you dont beleive what people say you have to find out yourself, it wont hurt to try and hold off, every week, its actually quite an explosive orgasm a week, sometimes i do fortnights because im happy as it is now.
i dont know why i just joined this forum to post this, i just wanted to help some people out |

| Well kazamo, to explain the wet dreams further, or "nocturnal emissions," basically, your testicles are continuously producing sperm. This sperm is stored in the epididymis. The epididymis can only store so much, and must be evacuated. Thus, nocturnal emission occurs, and you automatically ejaculate sperm to make room for more. |

Frequent masturbation and ejaculation stimulate acetylcholine/parasympathetic nervous functions. Excessive stimulation can result in over production of sex hormones and neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine, dopamine and serotonin.

The side effects of such changes to the body include:
Fatigue. Feeling tired all the time
Lower back pain
Thinning hair / Hair Loss
Soft / Weak Erection
Premature Ejaculation
Eye floaters or fuzzy vision
Groin / Testicular Pain
Pain or cramp in the pelvic cavity or/and tail bone

As a result, the brain and adrenal glands produce too much dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine, and other hormones and neural transmitters.
Symptoms (also called Sexual Exhaustion) is distressing liver and nervous system functions, include youthful impotence/erectile dysfunction (including a soft or weak erection) and seminal leakage. While more than 30% of men have experienced impotence at one time or another, impotence in youth is more rare and can often be attributed to the above factors.
Over-masturbation can also cause problems such as seminal leakage, which can cause sperm to ooze or leak out of the penis with no accompanying erection. Both semen leakage and youthful impotence are embarrassing, uncomfortable, and signs of Sexual Exhaustion.
Semen leakage is a sign that the parasympathetic nerve, which keeps the ejaculation valve shut and holds the erection, is weakening as a result of over-masturbation. With a weakened nerve, maintaining an erection is a problem.
Get Rid From The Addictive Behavior?
The first step to getting better is to reduce masturbation and ejaculation frequency and try to overcome this bad habit. Eat more soybean products and eliminating excessive caffeine from your diet. Focus on nutty foods like sunflower seeds, and peanuts and eat more sea foods, seaweed, vegetables, and try to minimize red meat and dairy product intake. Instead of soda, try drinking orange juice or cranberry juice and, of course, drink plenty of water. |

Hello all,
I started masturbating since I was 12 and have done so for about 4 years now. I usually went about 3-4 times a day and now I suddenly cannot have an erection at all. I was wondering if this is permanent damage (I am only 16 now)? I have stopped masturbating and will never think of doing so again, but do I have any hope of getting better if I just dont masturbate again? |

I have never read so much bullsh*t in a forum before.
For the benefit of younger readers who might actually believe some of the rubbish being written on here, let me assure you that masturbation has NO long lasting or irreversible adverse side effects.
Your own body will tell you if you are masturbating excessively; you may feel sore around the penis and testicle area or have pain in the lower abdomen. If this happens, just reduce the level of masturbation until these areas are no longer sore.
This short term soreness and pain is simply due to staining this part of your body, just the same as your arms might hurt for a day if you have lifted something very heavy.
There is NO long term damage from masturbation. If you masturbate 50 times a day and have none of the soreness mentioned above it means your body can cope and you have nothing to worry about.
The posts on here about long term physical or mental damage are by people just having a laugh. |

| i'm 26 now, and have no idea how long i've been masturbating. atleast 15 years i'd guess. i know that i've masturbated since before i could ejaculate. i probably beat it anywhere from 2-8 times every day. i have no problems getting hard, staying hard, or pleasing women. i've gotten with women, and gone home and beat off right after. if you have problems with your chubby, that sucks for you. but, as a self proclaimed horniest man alive, beating off has no long standing side effects. |
