Hi. I am a 23 years old woman and my doctor revealed a separated retinal tear on my regular checkup. I scheduled an operation and the doc fixed the retinal tear. It took me a few days to adjust, since it was stinging me a little, but after a while it was ok. By the way, I do a lot of sports. Is it ok for me to exercise after such a procedure, or should I wait?
In my opinion, it is better to be safe than sorry. Better to wait, a week or two and than see if everything is ok. After a while, you start to train whatever that you train. You don't want to risk your eyes just because a few training days. Personally, I would check with your doctor to see, if it is ok for you to train – because it depends on the sport.
