External hemorrhoid/ heal time

Hi,

I'm sure that I have an external hemorrhoid. Two weeks ago after having bad constupation a small bump showed up on the entrance of my annus. It was swollen and hurt, but I've changed my diet and I've been taking herbs as well as using creams to sooth it.

At this point it doesnt hurt or even bother me, but I would like to know what is app. healing time for an external hemorrhoid? Will the bump go away on it's own? When should I pay a visit to a doctor?

I just wondered what your result was of this hemorrhoid? Did it just go away on its own?
