Hello there Karen! I am not sure I understood you correctly about your age, is it 42? I that case I consider you lucky because most of the women who turn 42 have already smaller chance of becoming pregnant no matter their FSH levels.

Normal FSH level range differs from one lab to another, ranging from 10 to 12, but 27 would certainly be counted as abnormal levels.

FSH levels are usually measured on the 3 rd day of your cycle for the best results. What did your doctor say?

I am not going to go around the bush and you probably already know that the odds are not so big with an abnormal FSH levels. Even if you manage to have full term pregnancy, there are also chances of genetic abnormalities in a baby.

However, it happens that one moth you may have abnormal levels and another low.

I am no expert I just did a bit of questioning around when I was planning my first pregnancy, so I know. This doesn’t mean that you won’t succeed in your pregnancy and I wish you the best of luck, these are just some of the possible indicators.

I honestly hope you will manage to go through with your pregnancy and that everything will be in order. Let me know how things are going!

Best Regards
Jane
