Family therapy for Borderline Personality Disorder

I guess I have some issues with my parents. They have always been overprotective and I guess that is something that dragged me all the way down in my head. I lack self confidence, I even have paranoid ideas, and thank God I am not thinking about suicide yet. But I guess that BPD diagnose is quite enough of a problem for a 24 year old girl. Can you tell me something about family therapy for BPD?

It is s assort of therapy that involves educating family members about BPD. This is all because they have to realize what the problem with their loved one is and perhaps they can show some support. They can also see if there is something wrong they did and help in that way too. This type of treatment can be very helpful because it is not based on a classic patient – doctor relationship.
