Hi. I`m 42 years old and consider taking a non-surgical cosmetic treatment for my face. I would like to enhance my lips and cheeks. I`ve heard about fat injections and restalyne and don`t know what to do? There are so many methods and I`m a bit confused. Fat Vs Restalyne injections? Anybody with experience?

Hi. You mean Restylane? I prefere restylane injections, they are a way better than fat injections (liposculpture). Restylane is a natural beaty lift, and they use your body`s own material. Restylane is also non-animal which is very important for me. They will inject this biodegradable gel into the skin in very small amounts. The result is a natural, long-lasting enhancement. Fat injections, however last for a few months to several years. They will use your own fat cells and inject it under your skin to treat hollow cheeks, deep folds, or to enhance your lips. However, some lumpiness can occur, and I had no reaction on restylane injections.

I have had both procedures done. Restylane injected under the eyes resulted in lumpiness under my eyes and did not cure my concerns of looking tired. The lumpiness made my skin look crepey. Fat injections from my own skin graft, made a difference for about six months. Much more expensive for me. I'm not satisfied either way. About $5,000.00 later......still waiting for something better.
