Can someone tell me more about fatigue? I have heard abut it a lot of times but still don’t know what it is exactly. Is it just drowsiness or something else?

Fatigue is a feeling of weariness, tiredness, or lack of energy but it is different from drowsiness. Drowsiness is feeling the need to sleep, while fatigue is a lack of energy and motivation. However, drowsiness and apathy can be symptoms of fatigue. Fatigue can be a normal and important response to emotional stress, boredom or lack of sleep. But it can also be a nonspecific sign of a more serious psychological or physical disorder. This is why it is important for you to go to your doctor if you are suspecting that you are fatigue. When fatigue is not relieved by enough sleep, good nutrition or a low-stress environment, it should be evaluated by your doctor. Fatigue is a common complaint, but sometimes a potentially serious cause may be overlooked which can be very dangerous. There are certain medications that can cause drowsiness or fatigue. These medications include antihistamines for allergies, blood pressure medicines, sleeping pills, steroids, and diuretics.
