I have been feeling down for days. I cannot cope with these menopause problems. I have always been healthy, engaged in physical activities, even now I practice yoga. You cannot imagine how it must feel for me to be betrayed by my own body in this manner. When combined with mental stress and fears I have been starting to feel, this is really becoming a troublesome situation for me. Will antidepressants work here? Hormone therapy?

Antidepressants will most certainly help you regulate your mental state, even regulate sleep disorders. As for hormone therapy, there were some studies that long term, bring more damage than good. The statistics were based on examination of US women and the results showed much less incidence of cancer in women who did not use hormone therapy. Still, the same test thing was done in Canada, but the incidence of cancer level did not drop at all. Interesting results. Anyway, you do know that you can only try to subdue the symptoms and negative effects of menopause.
