Man...I have had this weird throat thing for like two months now. As a singer I'm very concerned. I went to an ENT and he gave me some antibiotics, said he noticed some swelling, but that antibiotics didn't help. I went to this guy a month before, when I felt this ...lump or thing in the back of my throat and he said not to be worried, but ...considering the medicine hasn't worked, I don't know what to think. I'll be getting a second opinion next week. Any advice you could lend would be greatly appreciated. I feel like ..there's a few bumps in the throat...and yes it's affecting my singing. I can't hit high notes. Maybe nodes? Literally it feels like there's a wall at the back of my throat, won't budge.
Thanks.

My brother had the same thing and he was diagnosed with pharyngitis, which is the inflammation of pharynx that results in sore throat and is caused by some microorganisms.
Have you done a throat culture? Maybe you should do it so that you know if you have a strep throat, as there is a possibility you have one. Have you noticed if your lyph nodes in your neck are swollen? This is one of the symptoms of having pharyngitis, as well as fever, headache, runny nose, difficulties with swallowing etc.
What kind of antibiotic did you take? Have you tried with warm salt water gargles, this is what helped my brother the most.
You should once again go to your doc and ask him for the best fluid for gargling your throat, and also for the throat culture, maybe you will find what is the main cause for these bumps, I know my brother had them a few deep in his throat, these were hardly visible but he says he could feel them.
I hope everything works out fine.

I just started with mine. No real pain..just a warm to hot feeling. feels like I have something stuck at the back of my throat. Lasts for about two weeks. My Boss has the same problem. Starts this time of year too (november). I have some sinus and my ears are a little clogged. I also notice alot of dead tissue on my toungue towards the back. I scrapped some of that off and Iwas relieved a little. No fever that I can tell. No voice changes. Just drainage. When I drink something carbinated it burns just a little. No blood. No lumps. No real pain only a numbness.
Just that dead tissue. What is it? Also...this is strange...just before this statred ....my Boss and I smelled a chemical smell...car exhaust...off and on. Oh well. If it gets worse go see a doctor.
