The U.N.'s International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) confirmed that the therapies which combine the hormones estrogen and progestogen are carcinogenic.
These combinations are used in many types of birth control pills, and in hormone-replacement therapies (HRTs), which are used to treat menopause.
The agency emphasized that birth control pills could also decrease a woman's risk of developing ovarian and endometrial cancer but that there is a "small increase" in their risk of developing breast cancer. The group added the pill also raises the risk of developing cervical and liver cancer in certain users.
The bottom line is that “ there are both beneficial and adverse effects for oral contraceptives and menopausal therapy. Each woman should discuss the overall risks and benefits with their doctors. " the agency said.

what is the best thing natrualy to balance hormones after the menopause ?I find hormone hrt inacceptable the side effects are dreadful,I hope someone has some advise?
