I have just been reading the forums and found things very interesting, so I decided to add my story. I am 40 yrs old (Yes you heard right 40) My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for almost 3 yrs. After fibroid surgery and a dye test , to make sure my tubes were clear and blood tests to make sure that I was not in menapause, my Dr started me on Femara 2.5mg twice daily for 5 days starting on day 3 of my cycle. On day 12 I went in for an ultrasound. I only had folicals measuring 17mm(does that sound right) on the right side, but on the left I had produced 2 eggs, so he was able to give my my shot of Novarel. Unfortunatley round 1 did not work. I go in on monday to see if I have any eggs this time and hopefully get my shot again. I will keep you posted. Oh bu the way... My Neice was 2 week behind me and the lucky thing got pregnant 1st time round with the same pills and shot. I feel hopeful.

I just found out that i will be starting the Femara and Novarel. I have had 4 pregnancies and only 1 child. I have been trying for a while now; my daughter is 3, and all the miscarriages occured after her birth. So I had no trouble with having her; this has all been a shock to me!! I started seeing a reproductive endocrinologist in march. 1st it was a progesterone issue. then other tests suggested that i needed to do the Heparin and low-dose aspirin therapy. After that it was another hormonal issue, and was given Metformin. After taking it for a month, we tried again using the heparin, aspirin, and progesterone after ovulation, along w/ taking Metformin. Not a success. So i was told, "call us on cycle day 1, and we'll go from there." So here we are. In 2 days i start the Femara. On June 2 i go to get my ultrasound, and i will take my Novarel with me, just in case its time. So a little anxious to see the outcome. All this medication seems crazy, but i will do whatever is best. I'm excited about finding answers, but i get nervous when its time to hear news. So I'm glad others can relate to all this madness. Several people in my life just think i'm crazy. Thanks for listening
