|
|
Hello, I'm a 32 year old male, and have not been to see a urologist as of
yet. I was hoping it would just go away. I've read alot about various
possibilities that this condition could be, and they range from "goes away
without treatment" to "cancerous".
Currently I have a firm mass "behind" (or underneath) my left testicle,
right where the epididymis attaches to the testicle. It's not really a lump,
it's a somewhat hard mass about 1/4 size of the testicle, and is
not "seperate" from the testicle. There is currenly no severe pain,
although there is some discomfort and ache that comes and goes.
I tend to feel that a diagnoses should be fairly accurate simply by an in
depth consideration of the symptoms that lead up to this current state.
Although, of course, I could be wrong.
First, before any hard mass was present, or noticed, I had about a week
long urinary tract infection. The urinary tract infection (a burning
sensation) seemed to also be present during ejaculation.
Second, about the time the urinary tract infection was disapearing, I
noticed a redish tint to the semen after ejaculation. (blood in the sperm -
hematospermia). It was present twice in the semen, once in the urine (at
the very end of urination, and one last time, again in the semen, although
very very faint. No pain present. This was over the course of a second
week. No other occurance since that time.
Third, about the time the second symptom was gone, I noticed a mild
ache in my testicles. Like a mild "blue balls" sensation. This ache came on
during the course of a single afternoon. By that same evening, the left
testicle was swollen nearly twice the normal size. Around the top of the
testicle appeared inflamed. The pain was a mild, dull ache, that felt better
if I supported (raised) the testicle(s) using an athletic supporter.
The next day, still swollen, I began taking Ciprofloxacin antibiotics, got
plenty of bed rest, and kept support applied. Over the next day, I noticed
that behind the testicle was somewhat firm.
After two days, the swelling was gone, but the firm mass that now
persists was able to be felt more since the swelling was gone. Hoping it
would go away, I continued to take the antibiotics, bed rest, support, ect.
It's been approxiamtely 3 to 4 days since the swelling has gone, but the
firm mass is still present (refer to my second paragraph) and has not got
any smaller, not gotten worse.
Can anyone shed light on this for me, or give your best diagnosis. Yes, I
am going to go have a urologist examine the problem, but I would really
like another point of view before I do.
Thank you very much. |

I'm in the same exact situation. It started with bladder/urinary tract infection with some blood in the urine, after having antibiotics in the first two days, I decide that I needed to release some semen through masturbating, turns out it felt kind of weird and there were blood in the semen (like ketchup mixed with mayo) and immediately, my left testicle became inflamed and with some hard 'ball' feeling type of thing swelling next to it. It doesn't bother me unless I accidentally hit it or something. This is my 3rd day on antibiotics and I'm on a two-week supply. Hopefully it will clear up.
Plus, it doesn't sound right to get cancer just like that and by ejaculating while you're having a bladder infection, it just doesn't make sense, at least I hope that's not the case here. |
