First period after abortion (Xtremely heavy)

I had an abortion 6 weeks ago and just now got my first period. Its extremely heavy, bright red, no clotting, and doesnt seem normal. I had only bled lightly for a week after the surgery itself. Im planning to go to a dr. if it doesnt let up but was wondering if this was a symptom of something? Obviously Im sure it would be related to the abortion.

Are you on birth control pills now??

Most women naturally have a heavy cycle if they are not on BC pills.

A peirod after an aboriton may be heavier, YES.

Most doctors tell women to worry if they are SOAKING through more than 2 pads an hour.

IF you go to the doc for heavy bleeding, it is likely that will put you on BC PILLS to lessen the bloodflow.
