Sorry this may be a tad long, but my first time posting and I have searched all night for any information regarding what has been going on over th past few months.
It started when we went camping Memorial day weekend. Later that week I had to take my boys in for contact dermatitis, and a few day later I went in.....However, my symptoms did differ.
I started to break out all over my face, in what appeared to be zits, but when popped, they would just seal up again and pop again. I washed my face with Ivory and this made evem more pop up.
I went to the doctor, and after 4 rounds of Prednisone, creams, antibiotics, and even pain medicine to help for the really bad days, the Dermatologist decides that it wasn't a systemic poisoining from any leaves in the camp fire, and it certainly was not just contact dermatitis. I am now at this point: I just finished up with my fourth round of prednisone, and I look and feel worse then ever. Overnight, my nose, chin, cheeks, ears, arms, hands, fingers, even on my knuckles, my shoulders, around my mouth, legs, my lady parts, and thighs, and especially my abdomen under my belly button have blistered so bad, and I just see more each morning. I am in a lot of pain and not sleeping and my whole body just aches. I don't understand why I am fine for a couple weeks, and then I don't just get "breakouts" I get blisters. I am using the steroid creams prescribed but the area needing treated is so large, I am almost through my first tube. I did see the Dermatologist months ago and had a skin biopsy done (which still swells up and gets puss filled too) and did some blood work, and I was called and said they were fine. then he went on vacation and I couldn't get in until later in August. Well that does not help me know. I have explained to the nurse in at my family practitioners office that I will be needing to get in to a dermatologist asap, because it is everywhere, and it isn't a "rash" they are blisters that I can pop and they will ooze, and then immediately fill back up and I could keep popping them all day if I wanted to some are flat, some are small white hard bumps, some are red blisters, just kind of depends on where they are located on my body( I don't mess with them anymore, because I now have so much scarring that I just try to leave it be)
I have not slept the past 2 days because I hurt so bad, even baths are bothersome. I have been trying to find SOMETHING on the good ole web to give me some insight, but I can spend all day online and will never get anywhere. I am really looking for any informationt that I can bring up with my doctor as even a remote possiblitly because I don't think they know what they are treating. I was also on Keflex, but at this point, after this any months, nothing seems to be getting rid of this, or if it is some disorder I must deal with, a little insight my help me and my doctors get on some sort of treatmetn plan that will work.
