Flovent and Weight Gain

Hi, I have been using Flovent for asthma treatment for a long time. With years I have gained weight, and I am wondering if , it is common to see weight gain as consequence of taking Flovent?

Hi, it is very rare to see weight gain as side effect of taking Flovent. I believe that only by paying more attention to your health and diet you can take control over your weight. Flovent contains fluticasone, a corticosteroid drug. Corticosteroids express anti-inflammatory activity, which is beneficial in asthma. Gradually number and severity of asthma attacks is decreased. But, as you know it affects only symptoms, while the disease remains incurable. It can be combine with bronchodilatators, to stimulate air flow in the lungs and enable appropriate oxygen supply.
