Hi, my 70 years old grandma has been given Fludara for CLL treatment. She experience many side effects like vomiting, nausea and general weakness. What is Fludara like compared to other cytostatics?
Hi, dealing with a cancer is never easy. And chemotherapy is a challenge for everyone, the patient and his family. Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is making people uncertain about next day and their future. Even if treatment is successful, there is always fear of remission. Fludara is used for the treatment of CLL, if patient didn’t respond as expected to alkylating agent therapy. It has many side effects and it is difficult to compare cancer drugs, as every one of them is used for certain sorts of the disease. They all cause destruction of immune system and leave patient without it’s natural defense system.
