I get this alot too, and I also do the same thing with my laptop, while I dont really feel a static electricity from it per say I am feeling chest pain when its on my chest and when its on my tummy i tend to feel a bit queasy after a while. I find that the bottom of my laptop becomes extremley hot.
I get the strange fluttering in my chest every now and then tho even when im not near my laptop. I have had scans and they have found nothing.
be interesting to see what people come up with |

|

Hello, I am a 60 yr. female. I have had a cardiac arrythmia since I was approx. 18 yr. old. The symptoms feel like the fluttering sensation that the writer's have described. I also, from time to time, feel a "thump" sensation after a feeling of "no activity in my heart."
The doctor has told be that I have PVC's and PAC's and altogether he calls it a "benign (meaning harmless) arrythmia." No...it certainly does not feel harmless when it is occurring. Hey - it's my heart! It is scary even after having been fully tested and told it will not kill me.
Through the years, I have learned to lay off caffeine, and really important but HARD to do - keep the stress out of my life. Also, I take a beta blocker each morning - a medicine that "smooths out the rhythm of the heart," as explained to me by my doctor. It is used to lower blood pressure as well. I also take klonopin (the generic) for stress. I have been on this medication regime for over 20 years and it is effective most of the time. I have "break through" symptoms occasionally and I try to get in a place to sit down...relax...have a drink of water and not feel pressured to talk for a while. The doctor has also informed me that one of the most common times to experience these symptoms is when one is in a reclining position, i.e. at the end of the day. If I begin to feel the symptoms, I either sit up straight or lay on my right side...and I almost always lay on my right side while sleeping.
I understand the fear and disruptions in life due to this problem. I suggest that you get the cardiac tests done and then use wisdom to live a normal life! |

Posted: 07/21/08 - 04:23 Post subject: buzzing in chest area |
|
|
I am a 58 year old female; I have had the buzzing sensation in my chest area for 2 months. When this happens, I get very weak and feel dizzy.
I also have zaps and zings running throughout my body periodically....it feels like I am being "electrocuted" from the inside out! I am usually lying down when it happens (sometimes it wakes me up). I was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) in 1975 that went into remission! I am not over weight (actually, I have lost weight recently) Six months ago, I had the flu with high fever and Pneumonia complications/partial paralysis in both legs resulting in permanent numbness in bottoms of both feet. After numerous blood tests, MRI, EEG, EKG etc, the Neurologist diagnosed severe Neuropathy in both legs, feet and arms. The blood test came back with possible Lyme disease (Barrelli infection)! I had a second test (Western Blot) with the same results! I am now scheduled for a Spinal Tap and a team of Neurologists! Hopefully, this test will eliminate Lyme disease because it is very hard & expensive to treat. The test also showed low B-12 so the Neurologist prescribed injections every week for one month then once a month for life! This has been a nightmare for me....not knowing what is going on in my body!
It has been a comfort knowing I'm not alone with these wierd symptoms! Thanks for posting...my heart goes out to all of you!
