Follicular carcinoma

Hi, my grandmother is suspected to have follicular carcinoma? If she has it what are her chances, because she is 76 years old?

Follicular carcinomas are the second most occurring thyroid cancers. Other sort, papillary carcinoma is considered to be less malignant. It can occur in elder people, but in children also. After radiation therapy, it can occur but in extremely low percent of patients. Vascular invasion is characteristic for follicular carcinoma. It affects females more common than males by 3 to 1 ratio. Tumor size is used to give prognosis, as it is exactly connected. Distant spread to lungs or bones is quite uncommon. Fortunately, it is generally treatable as overall cure rate high, near 95%, but it decreases for elder people.
