For what are Beta-Blockers medications used?

I have a problem with migraine. I didn’t go to doctor because of that. Somebody told me that I can treat migraine with Beta-Blockers. But I’m not sure is it a truth. I know that people use this kind of medications for high blood pressure. For what are Beta-Blockers medications used?

Beta blockers treat a variety of conditions. As I know, doctors usually prescribe beta blockers to prevent or treat irregular heart rhythm, high blood pressure, heart attacks and chest pain, generalized anxiety disorder, glaucoma and migraines. I’m using them to reduce blood pressure. Beta blockers work by blocking the effects of the adrenaline.
