Hello, I would like to know something about digital rectal exam. For what illnesses is that diagnostic procedure used? My father has been scheduled for that procedure next week but he did not tell me exactly why he is doing it. So, perhaps he is embarrassed and I just need to know what’s going og. So, does anyone know?

Well, I do know of two possibilities. First would be hemorrhoids, this is something my friend has been to a doctor for, and they performed that procedure on him. The second would be prostate problems and I guess that is a bit more dangerous. So, I guess if everything is ok with your father, he will tell you why he did that. If he is ill, I guess you will find that out too sooner or later.
