Four days after my period, I get my period again?

HI there,

I stopped the pill the day after my period ended and then four days later, my period came back. I went to see my GP and he said it could either be because I stopped using the pill and some bleeding can occur or I had a miscarriage... I don't know what to think? Have you encountered this before?
He said that if I still continue bleeding after a week, I should seek a ultrasound... I'm horrified of the thought. Oh yeah, I'm 22 years old.

MOST LIKELY it is from stopping the pill..IF YOU were pregnant a home pregnancy test would come up positive because the pregnancy hormones would stay in your system for a couple weeks.
