Gallbladder post-op irritation and Hair loss??

Its been nearly three weeks since the surgery and a tennis ball size red dry patch with a hardness beneath it has developed beneath the naval insicion point. Also loosing handfuls of hair. So much so, that during a four month period of chemotheoropy ending over three months prior to the gallbladder proceedure there was not this much hair loss. This doesn't seem normal for this type of surgery. How concerned should I be?
