Hai: my mother had a gallblader open surgery 1 month back. every thing went fine after that but yesterday when she visited the doctor she was dignosed of MILD JAUNDICE, she doesn't have any pain at all. Doctor told her that it is quite common in gallblader surgeries, Is it so, Kindly post me reply as soon as possible because I am very much worried about my mother's health.
Jandice may occur following laparoscopic cholecystectomy if a bily duct injury occurs in a surgery.
The patient instead of recovering well continues to have the symptoms s/he had before the surgery. These are usually the pain, feeling of illness or discomfort.
The injury to the bile duct causes dilation of the duct above the injury point. At the injury point, it usually comes to a narrowing and bile can't go through. This leads to bile spilling over into the blood causing jaundice.
I suppose that your mother's doctors will determine the reason and have it fixed. I hope everything goes well.

[/quote] Thanks for the reply but Dan Dan she had an open surgery and further she is not feeling any pain or any discomfort while eating. The only thing she feels is little bit of weekness. I hope she doesn't have to go through any major problem and it can be cured by medicines. Kinldy reply.
