Genital Warts Appear When Stressed?

Hi. I am 32 years old girl. I was diagnosed with genital warts. I had sex with a guy, but we were using condom. He had no bumps on his penis, like I have now on the vulva. I was really under stress these days and I think that is the cause of my problem. What do you think? Can genital warts appear when stressed?

Hi. No, genital warts can`t appear when stressed. Genital warts are sexually transmitted infection, caused by human papillomavirus, or HPV. So, you can get HPV by having oral, vaginal, or anal sex with someone who has human papillomavirus. Condoms are not really helpful. They can`t actually cover the whole infected area. If you can`t see the warts it doesn`t mean they don`t exist. Genital warts may be so small nobody can see them. The infection has a long incubation period and weeks can pass before you even notice anything.
