My wife doctors decided to perform surgery. It seems that she didn’t respond well on meds. She is getting ready how for epilepsy surgery. He has been tested and now we are waiting. I wanted to ask how someone is candidate for epilepsy surgery and others aren’t?

That is why she has been tested, to determine if surgery is the best option. Patients who have partial seizures that originate in one part of the brain may be candidates for surgery to remove that part of the brain, but this surgery is done only if it does not jeopardize normal function, and the part of the brain from which the seizure originates can be precisely pinpointed. There are few types of surgeries that are performed for epilepsy. Do you know for which one is getting ready for?
