I had irritable bowl syndrome on a cruise ship 6 weeks ago. The doc gave me ativan and several other meds, which I took for about a week. I was hooked on ativan and have had to reduce the 1 mg tablet by 1/4 each week over the past month. Has been hell with anxiety, insomnia, and stomach pains. I have been off of it for 3 days now and am still feeling the withdrawal symptoms. Any ideas on how long this will last? Also, how can I make my tummy more agreeable? Thanks.
