Glucose 5.76 in a young health woman, Is this high?

Hi, I am 26 years old female and I gave my blood to be tested as I regularly do two times per year. When results were done I saw that my blood sugar is on the level 5.76 so I was little worried because of it. No one in my family have problems with sugar so I would like to know if this is normal for person of my age.

Hi, upper limit for glucose in the blood is 6.2 so you are under that value for sure. However this value may be suspicion but if only if you didn't take any sugar at least 10 hours before you gave your blood to be tested. You may make glucose test tolerance under surveillance of your doctor just to be sure how you react on sugar.
