Going off antibiotics?

Hi! My daughter has lyme disease. Doctor prescribed her long - term antibiotic therapy. She doesn’t feel well. I told her doctor that, but he insists on long antibiotic therapy. How log standard antibiotic therapy last? My daughter is ten weeks on antibiotic therapy. How can she Going off antibiotics?

Hi! Standard treatment for Lyme disease is 28 days of oral antibiotics. I think that you should change a doctor. Some doctors prescribed non standard treatment. You need second opinion soon as possible. Ten weeks with antibiotic therapy is too long for your daughter. Don’t wait! Good luck!
