| I would like to know something about ALS. Grandfather died of ALS, is there hereditary risk? He was 81 when he passed away, and he fought with ALS for almost a decade. Now, I cannot help but think about possible hereditary risk, not for myself but for my mother's sake. She is 55 year old and she gets tired easily, or is it just my imagination? I cannot tell for sure. |

| Well, I suppose that you could ask her to explain her physical state in detail. Still, without medical evaluation, you will not be able to determine whether your mother has first symptoms of ALS. Patients with inherited ALS make 5 to 10 percent of all those who suffer from this disease. So, yes, there is s possibility, but doctor will tell whether your mother is ill or not. |
