| My father is 55 years old and he has some medical problem. He is very closed up man in situation that involves doctors and hospitals. I assume it is because of her wife, my mother, who passed away two years ago. He has these itchy red spots on the torso, but of course, he is not willing to see a doctor, so I wonder what might it be. My friend, a nurse, says that it could be the case of Grover's Disease. Is it a serious condition? |

| Grover's Disease is also called transient acantholytic dermatosis. It emerges suddenly in a way you described, red marks on the body. Doctors do not know the true cause of this disease, only that it attacks older people. For a treatment, they prescribe topical cortisone creams, antifungal pills, even phototherapy treatments. Of course, if your father wants to be prescribed with anything, he must see a doctor first. |
