I had have a problem with a growth or lump in my throat for around the last six months. It first happened when i was 35 weeks pregnant. I began to have trouble swallowing and my neck and throat felt swollen on the right side. It got worse to the point that i couldn't eat or drink anything without gagging or choking, it was however painless. I started to have trouble breathing and went to an ENT specialist. He said I had a swelling just above my epiglotis but he had no idea what it was or what had caused it. There was a white foul tasting secretion coming from it and after taking some antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs it went away. However it returned 2 weeks after i gave birth and now again that my daughter is 9 weeks old. At the same tim e that this started to happen i began to get stabbing headaches behind my left eye. The headaches are not so bad now but since my daughters birth i have been getting visual disturbances in my left eye. Could this be something hormonal related to my pregnancy? What action would anyone recommend? I live in Thailand and most medical facillities are either somewhat backward or private hospitals more interested in making money, it's hard to get a clear picture.
Many thanks to anyone who can help.
