I am almost 47 years old. My frequency between periods over the past 3 years had begun to get shorter (21-26 days between) then time to next periods began to gradually get longer between each. However, this year, I have missed two periods (each with 50+ days from last). My periods have started to get heavier with heavy clotting and this month (after missed period) and it has extended out to 11 days. Is this normal? I have made a appointment with my GYN for an annual PAP. Are there things I should ask him about to get a handle on these changes? Please advise.
