It depends upon the abortion procedure. Getting rid of the fertilized egg doesn’t threat fertility but if infections occur during a procedure, it could cause a scarring or permanent damage on some of the organs inside the cavity.
For example, if a woman has a couple of D&C’s, this could cause scarring at the cervix and inside the uterus because this procedure includes scraping of the fertilized egg. However, if the scarring occurred, it could be repaired during hysteroscopy. This is a procedure during which a small camera is inserted into the uterus and can be seen inside and be fixed if the scarring occurred.
Also, if you had more than one D&C’s, your cervix( the beginning of the uterus) may weaken and start dilating before time. This can be fixed too.
If everything goes by the plan, and abortion is done legally in the clinic or private office, there is no treat to infertility.
The story that links abortions and infertility goes back into the period when abortions were illegal and done with non-sterilized equipment.
As for the lack of moisture, look at the possible hormonal imbalance or lack of foreplay. |
