I am 30 years old and not sexual active or on any kind of pills.
Three days ago, on day 23 of a normally 35 day cycle, I notice some brown discharge when I went to the toilet, the next morning it had turned to blood.
It isn't heavy enough to need a pad (nor is it painful) but it has got me really worried. I went to see my doctor and she didn't seem to concerned. She said it was probably either ovulation bleeding or my period starting early.
It still hasn't stopped, if fact it seems to have got a bit heavier and I am worried sick. It seems to light to be a regular period and surely If it was just cause by ovulation it would have stopped by now?
I haven't been eating v well recently and have been somewhat stressed out, could this be the cause?
Am so worried I have hardly been eating or sleeping, please advise |

I am still worried.
I thought the bleeding had stopped last night and but it seems to have started again!
It's not heavy enough to need a pad but I am still very concerned.
Could it simply be an early period? I have always had an irregular cycle but have only twice come on early rather than late.
Has this happened to anyone else? |

Hey Charlie, I posted a topic just now... I think I might share your problem. I had period only for one day with totally diff symptoms:” I had a bizarre period this time. Usually I get crams about 2-3 days before my period and the period last for maximum 4 days. But this time, I didn't have any crams; it just came without any warning, but only for 1 day. And it stopped. I didn't even bleed that much (I only changed my pad twice). I don’t get my period regularly or on time, but I do bleed more than this." I want to know if there is a problem too. I hope someone helps. |

Hey Amutha,
I am going to see my doctor again, just for reassurance more than anything else.
Just when I think the bleeding has stopped, it starts up again! Its never heavy enough for a pad and I just wish I would stop.
Am sure your symptoms are nothing to worried about, although I would visit you health care provider if I were you, they can put your mind at rest.
In my (un medically qualified) opinion you have just come on early and light. Have you been stressed, lost or gained weight, been on any medication? All this can effect you menstrual cycle and knock it out of cynic.

I have been having bloated stomach for the past few weeks now. passing wind consistently last week but now it has resolved. My menstrual period comes as usual, it usually runs within 3-4 days but now its only runs for 3days for the past two months. Ive got acne on my face and frequently have headache. When i have headache it resolves by sleeping. Had done urine sample last month but was negative for pregnancy. |
