Okay, I really need everyone's input on my situation. I'm 20. My periods have always been irregular and sometimes I would miss a month, but to me that is normal. I know I should've done something to regulate my period, but thats a completely different topic. Anyway, I'm young and away at college so of course I've been drinking a lot. Especially recently during the last weeks of the semester and a lot of parties on campus. To get to the point, I've had roughly 2 to 6 drinks every night for the past month, no lie. Until late last night when my friend recommended I take a pregnancy test, which I thought there would be no way i would be pregnant. But two different brand tests showed I am definitely pregnant.

So here's my problem...I've probably been pregnant for about a month and during that month I've been drinking about 2-6 drinks each night. Mostly vodka, rum, gin, and other hard liquors. Does this mean I'm going to get a miscarriage?? Or maybe my real question is does the amount of alcohol I've been drinking cause a miscarriage. If it just increases the risk, what is the chance I will have one??? I just want to know what to expect as I will not have a doctor available until next week.

Also, is there a specific alcohol that triggers miscarriage more than another because I've already had a lot of different types.

One more thing I forgot to mention...I've also been experiencing cramping. Is that bad??

If you are really worried you can go to an ER and tell them and see what they say then you could see a DR. Cramping though is very normal for pregnancy. I had severe menstral like cramping with both my boys. Why can't you see a Dr till next week? If you have an OBGYN lined up you may be able to get in for emergency if you call to tell what is going on. The drinking does have risks but not necessarily miscarriage.
