HIV is spread during unprotected sexual activity with a person who had been infected, by sharing needles with someone who is infected (drug addicts) and from mother to a child.
You may be in danger of infection but certainly not HIV. HIV is a virus but it does not survive in the environment. HIV is found in varying concentrations in blood, semen, vaginal fluid, breast milk, saliva, and tears.
You could have in danger of getting a bacterial infection. There are a lot of bacteria living in this (pelvic) region and if there were a cut near the ingrown hair, the bacteria could have gotten in and made a mess. Then you could have developed a painful pimple, that may turn red and swollen and hurt. It would either go away in a few days or you would have to use an antibiotic to get rid of that infection.
Otherwise you were not in much of a danger. |

You forgot to tell me that the ingrown hair was on your breast? How could you forget that?
Is it possible that you were having sex, got pregnant and haven’t learned about HIV transmission?
Anyway, the breast soreness is definitely due to pregnancy and it has nothing to do with infection. Believe me, you would know if you had breast infection of any kind.
It is called Mastitis and it causes many symptoms. Your breast would probably swell, became red, scaly, and would probably drain some discharge. They would be certainly tender but they would itch, burn, sting, you could be having fever, feel tired, etc
You are ok, only pregnant so you may have many strange thoughts regarding your and baby’s health! |
