Hi. A friend of mine was diagnosed with genital herpes. He`s on a med treatment right now. I would like to hear more about HSV lifespan. Is there a cure for genital herpes? I would also like to test myself. How the test is performed?
Hi. I have oral herpes and I know the virus, HSV1 or HSV2, remain in your body for the rest of your life. So, HSV lifespan is like forever. You have serum herpes simplex antibodies test, it is a blood test to detect antibodies to the herpes virus. They will simply take the blood from your vein. HSV1 is related with oral herpes. Sometimes it can cause genital herpes, related with HSV2 virus. There is no cure, but the treatment can prevent outbreaks.
