Had a negative test but worried about being pregnent

I had unprotected sex a week ago. my last period was 5 and a half weeks ago and I've still not come on. Ive taken a test today and it's negative. could I still be pregnant?

It is very possible you could still be pregnant. I know plenty of women who had negative results and now they have happy healthy babies. Try going to your doctor and having a blood test done. They will measure the hCG level and be able to tell you if you are or aren't. Good luck!
