Has anyone had any success with femara as a fertility drug?

I just recently started taking femara as a fertility drug. I have read both to good and bads about the use of this drug. But I would like to know if anyone has had any success getting pregnant on this drug? I would sure like a bit of encouragement.

I took one cycle of Femara 2.5 mg 2 tablets by mouth days 3 thru 7, and got pregnant for the first cycle. We tired to get pregnant for 2 years until I took this medication. Unfourently my pregnancy ended at 5 1/2 months due to a uterine infection, my dr. has recommended waiting 3 months before trying again, and this medication is first on my list. Good luck!

I had been trying to get pregnant for 4 years I had taken 7 mos of clomid with no luck. After 1 cycle of femara I got pregnant. I have a beautiful 16 month old son as a result. He was born at 36 weeks and spent 9 days in the NICU, but that was not a result of the fertility medication it was because I developed Pregnancy Induced Hypertension.

I also just began taking femara for infertility... although my cause of infertility is unknown so i am not even sure if ovulation is my problem yet. this is my first cycle trying it, my doctor prescribe 5 mg for 5 days. i have heard lots of success stories. I am very hopeful, we have been trying to conceive for 4 years, I sure hope this works!!!

I too have recently been given femara, after five years of unsuccessful conception, I would like to let you know that I have heard good reviews on this drug and hope it helps us all, today was my first dose. Hopefully we'll be adding our stories to the list Femara helped

I just wanted to know what are the chances of getting pregnant using Femara 2.5mg on the first round? I have just taken 1pill on days 3-7 and now I am on CD26 and I am anxious to find out if I am pregnant. I miscarried last year and I have another daughter who is 3yrs. old. My problem is, I don't know when I ovulate. I ovulate at different times of the month. One month it may be CD13, the next month CD15, and the next month CD16. I did one round of Clomid(50mg) and had a HCG shot and I got pregnat with my daughter first try. It took my husband and I 1 1/2 yrs. to conceive her and then it took another 1 1/2 yrs. to conceive and then I miscarried. I took 3 rounds of 100mg of Clomid and a HCG shot and conceived only to find out I had miscarried. Now I am back to not knowing why I can't conceive. I did another couple rounds of 100mg of Clomid and had 1 HCG shot done which did not get me pregnant, and so now I went to a fertility specialist and he put me on Femara for the first ime and I just so long to have another child again. Please if you have any comments or opinions ,please feel free to let me know.

Has anyone used femara also had problems with PCOS? I am taking femara 2.5 mg on days 5-9 and have only one more day to go. I go back to the doctor on day 12. Just wondering if any one else dealt with it and PCOS. been trying to get pregnant for going on 6 yrs. Tried Clomid with no ovulation.

I am on day 26 after my mc on 03/08/07 My mc was running about every 21 days, my husband and I have been trying for about 8 months. No mc yet but I know that the femara does extend your cycle out but how many days out?
