Has anyone undergone physical therapy when having bell palsy symptoms?

Hi, my friend is 42 years old and he is suffering from bell's palsy a few days already. It is very frustrating situation for him and he is looking for treatment which would speed up his recovery. I would like to know if physical therapy would help him when having bells palsy symptoms. I would be very interested to hear if someone tried it.

Hi, my father had bell's palsy some time ago and his doctor tried to achieve faster recovery by sending him on physical therapy. Unfortunately it didn't help him and his doctor confirmed that it usually doesn't help but in some cases it does.That small percent of patient which experience improvement with physical therapy were reason why he decided to suggest it to my father.
