|
|
| I have been taking this medication for 3 years. I missed some tablets and felt okay. It turned into a week. The withdrawal symptoms were horrible. I felt like my whole body was somewhere else. My stomach felt like it was going to explode and I felt faint every minute of every day. Has anyone else had any similar experiences. |

So on my own I decided I would stop taking it and since then I feel like a zombie. I am dizzie all the time, I can not focus on anything or concentrate. And I am sleeply all day.

| Your doctor should have told you to step down your dosage to avoid withdrawal symptoms. You should NEVER ever stop an SSRI without lowering the dose gradually. |

...I quit three antipsychotics and had somewhat similar problems, feeling dizzy and having a painful stomach...I have to take stomach meds now, (started on the fifth or sixth week of being off my meds) it's now the eighth or nineth week afterwards, and I still can't eat much without getting sick...so far soups with noodles, noodles, and salads/vegetables seem to be the only things I can eat without getting totally sick...I am taking Lexapro, and I don't learn first hand what would happen to me if I suddenly stopped taking it...
You guys need to go see your psychiatrist immediately, stopping taking some meds can give you seizures, I was lucky I didn't get those, because seizures cause permanent brain damage! So please get an appointment as soon as possible! |
