I don't know if it helps any of you but I already know what is probably wrong with me - my neck spine. I've got some kind of a block (blockage?) there which causes something called cervico-cranial syndrome (google it, maybe you'll find the symptoms matching yours). The anti-depressants have been helping because stress makes your muscles tight and if you have a blockage, I guess, it makes it worse. I'm still on the pills cause I'm waiting to start physiotherapy - it's still a long way before I feel better. Good luck to all of you!
Oh, by the way, my doctor said it's all probably because of a little car accident i had... it's called whiplash, or something. |

| I'm back - I feel OK now, the symptoms stopped and I'm so happy. Physiotherapy helped. |

| I was just wondering if any of you guys have started to feel better? I wake up every morning with swollen eyes that go away after a few minutes. Then my eyes are red for the rest of the day. I have been battling this for six weeks now and ahve been on three rounds of antibiotics. I feel dizzy most of the day, have sinus pressure and a headache at the top of my neck. I also feel so dizzy at times that I think that I could almost pass out. I feel like it could be allergies but I am taking an antihistamine and have vacummed and cleaned everything in my house?.. |

I'm sorry to hear that so many people have been sufferring so badly.
Ive been having the same sort of symptoms for the last two years. Im a university student living in a dorm in canada, and after months and months of the campus doctors telling me that it was just one infection after another and my symptoms getting worse and worse I gave up. My eyes were generally swollen in the mornings as you say, but get better after a while, although they stay red. Finally my eyes were so bad that the conjunctiva (the clear membrane over your eyes) was filling with fluid. It really is a terrible feeling.
I'm wondering, do you feel any relief when youre outside in the cooler air? The reason I ask is because this was the key factor in an emergency room doctor finally getting to the bottom of it. What was bothering me, and could be the case with you as well, is not just plain old allergies, but prolonged exposure to allergens. The exposure weakens your immune system, making your more susceptible to other infections, and makes you feel totally useless. I have one of the strongest antihistamine eye drops on the market and it doesn't do much at all, i also have an inhaler and nose spray for my allergies, but i still suffer. The doctor told me that the only way for me to feel better is to remove the allergen. For me, this means that I'm currently waiting on the university to clean the air ducts in my house, which is where the dust/mold is.
The only way to really rule out allergies as a possibility for your sickness is to have an allergy test performed and ask the allergist if your allergies could be responsible for your sufferring.
I sincerely hope you get better quickly! I wouldn't wish allergies on my worst enemy! |

hi there, i have posted on here a few times as I have been suffering with many of the symtoms described by all of you on here for several years now. i have had similar sucess to 'baaab', by taking antidepressants which apparently act as a muscle relaxant and have relieved most of the pressure experienced in the front of the forehead.
even so i have not been competely cured and still can feel very tired if i dont get a good nights sleep, or consume alot of alcohol. I have also been going to regular physiotherapy to try and loosen the muscles in my neck with some moderate success. my physiotherapist believes that the muscles in my neck have tightened due to being stressed during exam periods and craning my neck over work when studying. this has apparently caused the majority of the muscles in the back of my neck to tighten considerably, bringing on many of the symtoms that i experience now. so maybe this is something some of the other sufferers should look into if you went through a stressful period before your symptoms came on.
I was also allerted to the idea of 'trigger points' from a previous post on a forum. I invested in a book about them and discovered many of my symptoms being talked about regarding problems with muscles in the neck. it was also extremely helpful as it talked about self massage, and ways you can try and work the knots out of the muscles yourself, meaning it isnt necessary to invest in expensive therapy to get rid of the tight muscles. so maybe this is something else to look into.
baaab: i tried looking up cervicocranial syndrome on google by couldnt find anything of any use. as you have been using antidepressants with some sucess aswell, i am interested as to whther this may be what i am suffering with. do you have any links for information on this?
Cheers |

| sounds like allergies, sinusitis (which if you do some research is caused most of the time by fungal infections, NOT bacterial infections, so antibiotics do NOT help) or a candida problem (I learned my body was out of balance with candida which caused A LOT of these problems, PLUS mental problems, fatigue, a little of everything) i also have TMJ which causes these types of head/facial pain symptoms... do a little research, you may be surprised at what you find! |

I'm having head pressure, it won't budge. I feel really tired but I find it difficult to get comfortable and rest. I used to have dizziness and lightheadedness but now it's mostly pressure and fatigue.
I also had some abdominal pains and the base of my skull/back of neck feels heavy. Also have pressure in nose and ears. My tongue is white too. I also get hot spells at times and used to get the shakes. I have a loss in appetite but trying to eat.
I've been thinking it is serious but my doctor believes I am experiencing panic attacks.
I hit my head on a door 18 days ago and since then have believed I have had a brain hemorrage, doctor thinks I am crazy though . . . I am awaiting blood tests but want a MRI or CAT scan ASAP. I can't stop worrying and sometimes I believe I can see one pupil more dilated than the other, as well as floaters in my eyes.
This has me so down and is stressing me out . . . even my friends notice the change in my once up-beat personality.
Anyways, I will see my GP tomorrow, regardless of blood test results (which haven't came threw yet) and request I get a scan, I'll need to get to the bottom of this to put my conscious to rest. |
