I'm a 25 year old male. I stand about 6'1, and weigh about 270lbs. I am overweight/obese, but I have been attempting to get more active in order to condition myself and loose weight.

Yesterday I was playing hockey for 3 hours, a pickup game. I started my shift, about 4 min later, I got off, my heart of racing pretty good since I exterted quite a bit during my shift. However a minute of so after getting off, my heart went from racing super fast to slowing down to it felt like NOT beating, I couldn't feel anything in my chest or my kneck. My vision started to go black. At that point I thought I was having a heart attack, however just as quickly as it came it left. I felt better, especially after I burped and released some gas (I had eaten 1.5 hours prior to hockey a Subways sandwich). I played the rest of the evening at the same intensity with no problems.

Now I can say this isn't the first time that this has happened to me. One time while changing my Camry's tire, I was tighting a bolt with a torque wrench, put in a lot of effot, suddenly I felt this rush and my vision went black, heart started to beat super fast and it passed however...was it a change in blood pressure? It felt like it did yesterday, except for the heart feeling like it slowed down to nothing.

A couple years ago I had a full physical done. Blood work came back with good results, good good cholesterol and low bad cholesterol. I had an ECG done, which also came back absolutely normal. I am due for another one, so perhaps I should make another appointment.

I'm worried about yesterday. Anyone ever have such a problem or hear of it? Should I be concerned. I felt prefectly fine afterwards and today. Heart is beating fine, blood pressure is normal.

Thanks.

Sounds like you experienced idiopathic hypotension, and unexplained drop in blood pressure. It could be related to strenuous exertion, but i would certainly mention it to my doctor, especially if it happens again.
