| I am 47 and in the menapause not sure wether this has anything to do with what I am experiencing. When laid on my back in bed, happens in the early morning, I am concious of my heart beating and I get a feeling that something is resting on my heart affecting the beating of it, it is very difficult to explain, it seems to create an extra beat or a flurry of some sort, I have no pain, I am fully fit, my blood presure is normal, everything feels normal during the day, can anyone help? |

| I too, experience rapid heart rate when lying back. I wonder now if I experience it while doing other things, only it is less noticeable until lying quietly in bed. It is extremely uncomfortable to be able to feel your own heartbeat! Mine feels like it is rapid, sometimes skipping a beat and then coming back with more force. |

I too also have a problem when I lay down to go to sleep and I can feel my heart start beating faster and it also does this right after I wake up, of course I do not sleep well at all through the night. Any suggestions on how I can sleep better. Ambien seems to be the only thing that helps |

| I am 46 and have also noticed the fluttering when I am on my back relaxed. It was very scary. Also my cycle is very heavy for 4 days , not the light cycle for 7-8 days. I dare not leave the house. I ake a little melatonin to help with sleep. |
