Heart pain and difficulty breathing in 28 yr old!

Hi, My boyfriend is 28 and he woke me up at 3am this morning, grabbing onto my leg and on his knees beside the bed, saying that his heart had terrible pains and he couldn't breathe properly.

Thankfully the pain went away after a few minutes but it scared the living daylights out of me! He is very overweight and had been out with the guys watching sport and drinking since lunchtime that day.

I thought it may be heartburn but he insisted that it wasn't because the pain was so intense. Now he just wants to forget that it happened, but obviously I'm a lot more concerned - especially because of his weight.

Does anybody have any ideas what it could have been?

It could have been indegistion, panic attack or something worse. He needs to get checked out by a doctor. Forgetting it is not the answer
