Hi, I am 19 years old, and I have a heavy blood flow every time when I have a period. I became anemic, and I have to find a way to decrease this blood flow. Do you know how can I do that?

Hi, I have the same problem. This condition is called menorrhagia, and it causes anemia very often. My menstrual flow soaks through two tampons every hour, and it makes me so tired and exhausted that I cant get up from my bed. My heavy menstrual flow includes large blood clots and it lasts for five days. I went to gynecologist, and she recommended me to take contraceptive pills. They should reduce heavy blood flow and abdominal pain. This will probably cure my anemia, which is most important for me. When you visit your gynecologist, ask her if this could work for you.
