Heavy spotting when I never spotted ever before

I just restarted taking the pill again. I haven't taken it in a lil over a year. The period right before I started taking the pill was 7 days late and then I got a period of sorts. i'm normally VERY heavy the 2nd and 3rd day and then kind die off over the next 5 days. This one was lighter then normal and had some cramping and lasted a total of 3 days. Now, i have some heavy spotting where its a thick brownish/red stuff. its there when I wipe and also on the underwear. Anyone have advice on what this could be?

I have the same thing. What happend to me was i am on yaz and i skipped the white pills so i wouldnt get a period. Now i am about 15 days into the new pack and i have have heavy spotting for the past week and a half. It started out really brown and now its red. It wont go away, but the doctor told me to keep taking the pills...!!! So the brown/red your getting is old blood...did you skip pills? It is old blood that needs to come out of your system..after you have your next period your body should release all the blood and you should start over clean. HOPEFULLY...good luck, talk to your phyician and let me know what they tell you, good luck!
