| please help me im very scared, i have dark brown to dark red discharge, it started when i peed after having sex, although iv been sexually active for a while. i use yasmin birth control, and havnt been taking it the same time evryday, but evryday though. I only have one sexual partner and im his first. IM 18 and at uni and really scared that it might be an ectopic pregnancy. or maybe just spotting but it varies in heaviness and has been goin on for 2 to 3 ays now. my period is due in 7 days. please help. |

is the spotting brown now? It could have been a bit of spotting from vigorous intercourse, since you say it showed up after sex.
But it could also be your hormones fluctuating a bit if you aren't taking the pill at the same time everyday (but this is a long shot) and it'll settle down once your period comes and goes.
If you have cramping, that's the biggest indication of ectopic. The cramps would get worse and I'd go get checked as soon as possible.
It's too early to do a pregnancy test but if you really want to do one, get a sensitive one (like the internet strips at saveontests.com or a First Response from the drugstore) and you can test up to 4 days before your period is due. (if it was me, I'd test on Sunday or Monday, if period is due on Tuesday)
