Hi, I had a Nova Sure Endometrail Ablation 5/1/06. I have been bleeding practically every day since. my doctor has tried me on birth control pills to stop the bleeding (did not work) and Medroxyprogesterone pills to stop the bleeding (did not work). He is now suggesting another ablation? Or possible a hystorectomy.
I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem after an ablation? If so what was your solution. Also has anyone had 2 ablastions done and if so what was your results from having two ablations.[/b]

I had the procedure and was assured I would be sedated, I was not. They gave me Valium an it made me higher than a kite and I was awake during the procedure and in massive pain throuhgout it, and the Dr did nothing to suppress it or stop the procedure. I tensed up so bad that I ended up in the ER 2Hrs later with major back pain and a leg cramp, like have a charlie horsi all in my lower back and right leg. I am now going through physical thearapy for muscle spasms in my lower back and right leg. I have missed more than a month of work because of this. just an FYI regarding this.

IT SOUNDS AS IF YOU HAVE ADENOMYOSIS, THE ONLY CURE FOR IT IS A HYSTERECTOMY....IF YOU WANT THE PAIN AND EXCESSIVE BLEEDING TO GO AWAY...HAVE IT.....BEEN THROUGH IT ALL FOR 7 YRS...WISH I HAD THE HYST EARLIER...

i TOO have had an endometrial ablation,,,,and within a month an a half I was right back at it bleeding sometimes for 6 weeks,,,,this is now 6 years later,,,,I had an IUD,,,prgesterone pills,,,,,etc etc,,,,,almost 4 years ago,,,and to this day it continues.
I am now seeing another specialist and here we go all over again...having pap tests,,,pelvic ultrasounds,,,samples taken from my cervix etc etc,,,,and I have been asked if I want another endometrial ablation,,"My answer "No Thank You" nothing seems to be working ...as of now I too am on Medroxy Progesterone pills for one week now,,,,and still the bleeding continues,,,,now the specialst has doubled the dose,,,it seems to be doing nothing,,,but I will wait it out till the 14th of this month when the specialist tells me what choices I have left,,,good lck I will watch and keep you posted....
